Apparently the Bush administration dislikes/fears Mahmoud Ahmadinejad enough to fund sketchy, internal, Iranian resistance movements in the hope of forcing a violent crackdown by Tehran (and thereby justifying U.S. military intervention). And when I say “sketchy, internal, Iranian resistance movements,” I mean it:

Among groups inside Iran benefiting from U.S. support is the Jundallah, also known as the Iranian People’s Resistance Movement, according to former CIA officer Robert Baer. Council on Foreign Relations analyst Vali Nasr described it to Hersh as a vicious organization suspected of links to al Qaeda.

So the U.S. might be . . . funding Al Qaeda as an aspect of the “War on Terror.” If this seems confusing, I believe that tingling sensation is known as “cognitive dissonance.” Doublethink has apparently become the M.O. of the besuited hominids on the hill . . . though I guess it’s been that way for a couple hundred years now.

This leads me to today’s answer to our continuing question: Which World Leader(s) Deserves to be Mauled by a Bear Seal?

These two. Let me introduce you to my little friends:

Though I suppose they deserve perpetual mauling. I’ll probably leave this implicit in the future.
